Norma Risi

LAGRANGEVILLE - Norma Risi, 91, died peacefully on February 17, 2026 at Putnam Hospital Center. A resident of Hudson Valley since 1967, she previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in the Bronx on September 21, 1934, Norma was the daughter of the late Ettore and Maria (Acerboni) Magnabosco. She worked in childcare for several decades until her retirement. Norma was a devoted Catholic who attended church at St. Kateri Church. She enjoyed crafts in her spare time.

Norma is survived by her three sons, Philip Risi and his wife Sonda of Hopewell Junction, Michael Risi of Newburgh, and Peter Risi of Los Angeles, CA; her grandchildren, Taylor Risi and Alexa Risi; her former daughter-in-law who she remained close to, Donna Risi; a nephew, a niece, and many cousins in Italy.

In addition to her parents, Norma was also predeceased by her sister, Laura Ambrosi; and her aunt in Italy, Mother Superior Magnabosco.

A funeral mass is being celebrated on Monday, March 2nd at 10 am at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
