Norma Jo Rogers, 84, of Hanahan, South Carolina, wife of Robert Theodore Rogers entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 23, 2026, at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens 7113 Rivers Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Norma was born February 10, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Frank Daniels and Norma Connelly Daniels. Norma devoted much of her life to service and education, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Norma's career spanned over three decades, with 29 years spent working diligently for the government. Her commitment to excellence was evident in every role she undertook. Following her government service, she contributed five additional years of her professional life to the College of Charleston, an institution that also shaped her early academic journey. A proud alumna of the College of Charleston, Norma embraced the value of education both formally and throughout her life.

Beyond her professional achievements, Norma had a rich tapestry of passions that enriched her daily life. She had a particular love for cooking, delighting in the art and flavors that only a devoted cook could master. She was an avid reader, often found immersed in books that fed her curiosity and broadened her understanding of the world. Additionally, Norma’s interest in foreign languages, especially French, reflected her deep appreciation for global cultures and her curious spirit.

In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by daughter, April Nelsine of Coveville, VA; grandson, Grayson Barker; half brothers: Jimmy Volosin and Jeffrey Volosin; and half-sisters: Cynthia Volosin, Jerri Ann Fleetwood, Betty Hughes, and Barbara Gavin.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
