Norma Smith Obituary
Norma McPeters Smith, age 80, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born to the late Gresham and Virginia Boone McPeters, on May 01, 1943 in Yancey, North Carolina.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith Jr.; one brother, Mike McPeters; and one sister, Julia Greenway.
Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Bobby (Jan) Smith and Scott (Lisa) Smith; one daughter, Loretta Cook; three grandchildren, Michael Hain, Daniel (Bekkah) Smith and Katie (Dylan Hendley) Smith; two great-grandchildren, Emma Smith and Kylan Hendley; and one brother, Rev. Doug McPeters.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service & Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
