Norma B. Taylor, 99, of Tavares, Florida, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she lived with her family through the Great Depression, where her aunt shared Jesus with her and took her to Sunday School. She asked Jesus to be her Savior at the age of 12. At 18, she married her childhood friend and high school sweetheart, Elmer G. (Bud) Taylor. They were married for 74 years until he passed in 2018. They moved to Central Florida in 1979 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was a teacher prior to her retirement. Norma was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Dora, and was an active supporter of the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Lakeland. She and Bud served as non-funded missionaries through the North American Mission Board, primarily helping with planting churches in Canada. She has been an Active Volunteer at AdventHealth Waterman since 2003. Norma is survived by her Daughters, Sandra Howes of Eustis, FL and Joanne Taylor of Mount Dora, FL; Grandchildren, Jill (Michael) Benner, Shawn (Jill) DeFord, Cara (Doug) Bauman, Nicole (Steve) Peterson, Kristin (Jerret) Simmons, Jeremiah Howes, Great-Grandchildren, Jordan, McKenna, Ellasyn, Adelyn, Maevelyn, Harrison, Madisyn, Myah, Cooper, Carson, Olivia, Ashlyn and Emersyn. Services will be held at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM prior to service. Private interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to FL Baptist Children's Home (www.fbchomes.org) or Cornerstone Hospice (www.cornerstonehospice.org).
