Norma Kathleen Velis passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2026, at the age of 80.

Norma was born in Coleman on October 21, 1945, to Finis Bryd and Lenora Gillet (Lovvorn). Norma enjoyed fishing and spending time with her friends and family. She was a HUGE Elvis Presley fan!!

Norma was preceded in death by her father, Finis Byrd, her mother, Lenora Lovvorn, her husband, Arturo Velis, her middle daughter, Debra Turner, her son in law, Ricky Norway, and a great grandson, Dustin Smith.

Norma is survived by her sister, Kay Pendley of Brownfield, her sister in law, Blasa and husband Bennie Lopez of Potosi, her Daughter, Becky Lake of Baird, her Daughter, Kathy Norway of Cross Plains, her Daughter/Granddaughter, Marinoel Turner and partner Jeff of Baird, her Grandson, Steven Turner of Coleman County, Her Granddaughter, Shanana Foster and husband James of Abilene, her Granddaughter, Alisha Phelps and husband Brad of Eastland, her Granddaughter, Chrystal Koger and husband Michael of Baird, her Grandson, Tommy Smith of Blackwell, her Grandson, Michael Turner of Baird, her Granddaughter, Kayla Pippin and husband Chris of McCaulley, her Granddaughter, Destiny Norway and partner Chris of Fort Worth, her Grandson, Weldon Brooks of Baird, her Granddaughter, Angel Ramos and husband Joe of Eula, her Great Grandkids, Kayla Wallis, Joel Koger, Shane Koger, Stormy Koger, Kaitlyn Turner, Shawn Clayton, Kendall Turner, DJ Smith, Stephanie Pippin, Emily Pippin, Lindsi Wallis, William Johnson, Cory Haq, Ariana Turner, Kolton McCullough, Cadence Findley, Xavier Brooks, Scott Hull, Keirstyn Pippin, Michael Wallis, Alexis Turner, Makenzie Turner, Colton Brooks, Daniel McCullough, Elizabeth Turner, Ryder Pippin, Jaylin Koger, Hunter Hull, Annabelle Clayton, Cross Dixon, Adia Dixon, twins, Kolton and Trenton Smith, Skylynn Norway, Roper Pippin, Ricki Norway, and her 1st Great-Great Granddaughter, Layla Garza. Norma was Tia and Granny to so many others!
