Norma J. "Shumaker" Zimmerman

Norma J. Zimmerman, 92, formerly of Shoemakersville, a resident at Phoebe Berks, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Phoebe Berks. She was the wife of the late H. Dale Zimmerman, died May 2, 2018.

Born in New Bethlehem, Clarion County; she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Mildred C. (Nulph) Shumaker. She was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. Norma worked in various clerical positions over her career; last working at Kutztown Area School District, before retiring in 1991. She was a former member of Hamburg Community Concert Choir, Central Berks Lions Club, and Kutztown Community Choir. She had served as church secretary, and enjoyed singing at the Kutztown Folk Festival in the Amish Pageant. Norma loved her dogs, flower gardening, and was a tremendous seamstress.

She is survived by a son: Jeffrey D. Zimmernan, husband of Margaret A. Herrick, Penn Twp. She was predeceased by a brother: Wilbur E. Shumaker.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:00 am from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church.
