Norm stands out as one of those people that makes a lasting impression. He referred to himself as a "young boy" and it always made me chuckle. I appreciated his understanding of recycling and his hard work in Canterbury. Norm added a special something to my day when I got to see or speak to him. My best to his family. Norm is missed.

To the Bowles family- I just wish to extend my sympathy. We've lost a true Yankee and a honest and hard working man. You gave him a nice service that was a good testimony to his life.
May God be with you in a special way at this time of loss.- John Porter

Norm couldn't throw bails one-handed over the cab of a truck in recent years. But we enjoyed seeing him on Dusty's tractor haying our fields. He was a great neighbor and we'll miss him.

Norm was such a class act. I always enjoyed our Saturday morning conversations. He loved talking about his family. It seemed he could fix or recycle anything. Our condolences to his family.

To the Bowles Family,
We are so saddened to hear of Norm's passing. I enjoyed visiting and reminiscing about mutual farm friends with him while I was working at NRRA. It is apparent that throughout his life he surely gave of himself and local communities benefited from his knowledge and kindness. He will be remembered fondly.

Dad, words come hard amidst memories. yes, you were a hard worker, taught us the value of survival, work, family. i was 3 months old when you came home from the service and you were always there for me through the years. don truly loved the lunches you made for him when we'd come and spend time the past 2 years. i am blessed to call you my dad, mentor and friend. when you take a piece of each of us you in turn leave a piece of you with us and these are the memories on love that will keep your spirit alive in each of us. so i shall say see you soon and i love you for all you taught and gave to me.
