Norman “Joe” P. Brodeur, 67, of Merrimack died November 28, 2004 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua following a brief illness. Mr. Brodeur was born on April 22, 1937 in Nashua, the son of the late Albert and Florida (Tremblay) Brodeur. He was a US Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 48 in Hudson. Joe spent most of his career working as a carpenter for the carpenters Local #40 out of Cambridge, MA. He was a member of the Lafayette Club and a lifetime member of Club National in Nashua. Mr. Brodeur was a avid hunter and fisherman and was filmed by WMUR television for his psychedelic geodesic domed bob house. Family members include; one son, David and his wife, Janet Brodeur of Nottingham; four daughters, Kathleen Marteloze of Nashua, Brenda Carrier of Merrimack, Rose and her husband, Ernest Faucher of Cumberland, RI and Sandra and her husband, Bradley Moore of Allenstown; twelve grandchildren with one on the way, Nicole, Joshua, David Jr., Benjamin, Matthew, Maria, Sydney, Katie Rose, Roselyn, Sean, Joseph, Jesse and Elizabeth; three stepsons, David McGlauflin of Goffstown, Scott McGlauflin of Scotia, NY and Keith McGlauflin of Rochester; one brother, Robert Brodeur of Manchester; three sisters, Lucille and her husband, Herbert Caron of Nashua, Irene and her husband, Mario Boldini of Nashua and Elma and her husband, Zygmunt Raskiewic of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Brodeur was predeceased by one brother, Roland Brodeur and one sister, Elizabeth Brodeur. There will be a Memorial Reception on Friday, December 3rd from 1:00 until 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, (an affiliate of Phaneuf Funeral Home), 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
