Norman Fogg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home on Jun. 6, 2023.
COLUMBIA – Norman R. Fogg, 78, of Columbia died on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Country Village Healthcare Center in Lancaster after a period of failing health.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1944, to Alton and Dorothy (Peabody) Fogg in the Kidderville area of Colebrook. Norman, better known as Teddy, grew up on a farm and worked hard. He enjoyed this kind of life with his brothers, and loved being around the animals, especially the pony, and riding horses.
After leaving the farm, he moved with his family to the 'Factory Village' area of Colebrook and attended schools in Colebrook and graduated from Colebrook Academy in 1964. Ted was married to Nancy Chapple, later divorced, and together they raised three children, Jamie, Jonathan, and Jennifer.
He worked most of his adult life at the Groveton Paper Company, retiring at the age of 62. In retirement, he enjoyed life with his family, especially the grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Although his health and the necessity of dialysis became a burden for making plans, he faced his treatments with strength and courage.
Teddy is survived by one brother, Alfred, of Brookline, Mass.; his children, Jamie and his partner Diane of Canaan, Vt., Jon and his wife Darlene of Columbia, and Jennifer of Norwich, Conn.; his grandchildren, Dylan and his wife Marion of Colebrook, Dakota of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dawson of Columbia; and two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Annelise.
He was predeceased by his parents and seven brothers, Ray, Roy, Gordon, Maurice (Tommy), Ralph, and Gene; former wife and friend Nancy; and one grandchild, Tyson.
At his specific request, final services will be private.
