Norman J. "Tim" Gagnon

Norman "Tim" J. Gagnon, age 79, of Auburn, died from complications following a heart attack on November 21, 2025 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME.
He was born in Caribou, ME on May 6, 1946 to Cecelia and Leo Gagnon, and graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor, ME in 1964. His job history included Rust Construction and Maine Masonry, and he eventually retired from L.L. Bean after 25 years in 2024.
Tim was a kind and loving father, husband and friend, a life-long fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team (Go Habs!), and a dedicated audiophile, constantly researching and working with friends to fine-tune his sound room. He greatly enjoyed the purity of the audio he was able to produce through his speakers, and spent many of his evenings absorbed in his music.
He found his spiritual home in the Baha'i Faith which he joined in 1994, and remained an active member in the community up until his passing.
Tim and Mary married in 1995 and moved to Winthrop, ME, and in 1998 welcomed their child, Ashley. In 2000, they moved back to Mary's hometown of Auburn, ME, where they enjoyed the rest of their life together.
Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Savignano Gagnon, their child Ashley Gagnon, currently residing in Pittsburgh, PA, brother Conrad of Millbrook, NY, and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by this brother, Phil, of Poway, CA.
His immediate family is greatly thankful for the outpouring of love from family and friends from all corners of the world in his final days, and for their continued support after his death.
Tim always wanted his tombstone to say, "Should've had more lobster!"
