HENDERSON- Norman Wallace Greenway, 80, of Stewart Farm Road, died Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Maria Parham Health. Born September 10, 1945 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Christine Pierce Greenway and Hartwell Greenway. Wallace was a retired cotton buyer having worked for Harriett and Henderson and Allenberg Cotton Company. He was a member of Carey Baptist Church where he served in many capacities including as a long-term Sunday School teacher, a deacon and Chairman of the Cemetery Committee. Wallace was an active volunteer with ACTS and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Carey Baptist Church by Rev. Michael Mahan and Dr. Al James. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Wallace is survived by his wife, Paulette Rooker Greenway of the home; two daughters, Paige Mabry and husband, Lin of Oxford and April Greenway of Raleigh; two sons, Greg Greenway and wife, Stacey of Greenville and Tracy Greenway and wife, Dana of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Addison Mabry, Diego Sirit, Victor Sirit, Elizabeth Greenway, Madelyn Greenway, Grayson Greenway and Molly Greenway; his sister, Cindy G. Frazier and husband, Gene of Henderson; and his longtime special friend and lunch buddy, Henry Williamson of Henderson.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday in the cemetery at Carey Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons and son-in-law.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carey Baptist Church, P.O. Box 637, Henderson, NC 27536.
