Mr. Norman "Buck" Pratt, age 77 of Oakdale, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born on July 28, 1948. Buck was an avid hunter and loved spending his time in the woods when he was able. He was a big fan of Netflix in his later years as he found himself in the house more. Some would even say he watched about everything they had available to stream. He was a proud US Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Buck was always known as a hard, dedicated worker; even at the expense of dragging his own family and wife in to help on various tasks and jobs. Before retirement, he served as a millwright across the different plants in Oak Ridge for the DOD and DOE. He is preceded in death by his parents: Malinus Daniel Pratt & Dorthy Graham Pratt; daughter: Kimberly Justice; and 8 siblings. He is survived by:

Wife: Betty Sue Clark Pratt

Son: Daniel Pratt

Daughters: Cindy Hamilton, Debby Gossett, Teheresa Miller, Connie Brasch

Special Friend: Bill Ratliff

and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren

He is also survived by numerous extended nieces, nephews, and many more extended family members and friends across the community.

Family and friends will gather at the Roane Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET for a graveside service with full military honors presented by the US Army Honor Guard and the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Norman "Buck" Pratt.
