Norman J. Roberts

OGDENSBURG -- Norman J "Nick" Roberts, 85, died Sunday, March 1, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Mr. Roberts, son of the late William and Florence (Perry) Roberts, was born in Ogdensburg Dec. 1st, 1940. He was a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg and a devoted father. Mr. Roberts put his children and grandchildren above everything else.

He was fiercely loyal and endlessly protective of his family. He believed in hard work and, whether for family or his community, was the first to lend a hand when one was needed.

Beneath his serious external demeanor there was a soft and sometimes silly side that he reserved for a select and lucky few. He was a ladies' man and a good dancer.

Mr. Roberts was predeceased by his three siblings (William, George, and Thomas). He is survived by four children, Norman Roberts, of Fort Myers, Fla, William J Roberts, of Ogdensburg, Ona-Marie Leiwant (Joe), of Chester, and Wendy L Roberts, of Andover, and 4 grandchildren, Hannah Roberts-Easter (Owen), of Vernon, William T Roberts, of Andover, Anna and Sydney Leiwant, of Chester.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, from 1-4PM at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. A service will begin at 3:30PM.
