Barbara, this is the first time in many years I didn't send you a Christmas card. I love you and miss you....I especially miss that big bold beautiful penmanship of yours...You WERE Miss Doll, weren't you? Give my love to Fig and Ecey and Norman. I really miss you, dear! xoxoox

I had the pleasure of growing up next door to Mrs. Mailer's parents in Atkins Arkansas. Matthew and I fished and rode bikes together when he would visit his Grandparents in the summer. Mrs. Mailer was always very kind when I would see her visiting her parents. Peace and comfort to your family.

I will always know "Norris" as Barbara Jean Davis. She and I grew up together and I spent many nights at her house as a guest. My family knew her family through our church, Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church, where our Dads were deacons. I did not see her often but kept up with her through the news. I miss her and am so happy to have been her friend. I am sorry for the loss to her family. May God Bless you all and give you comfort.

norris was my art teacher/mentor when i was a senior in hs russellville arkansas-my love remains to this day for her beautiful spirit!sending loving thoughts to her family...........as we stayed in touch off and on thru this summer........and her memoirs touched me deeply

I had the pleasure of being Norris's agent for a time at Wilhelmina Models. She was a lovely and gracious lady in an industry where few were found and I thoroughly enjoyed knowing her. God bless and keep you, dear girl.

I live in Atkins Arkansas. I had the opportunity to meet Norris when she was there last at a book signing. I am so sorry for your loss. I became a fan of hers when I realized she did not forget where she came from. She was a special person.

Having recently read "A Ticket to the Circus", I have gained a great respect for Norris Church Mailer as an artist in her own right. She had amazing grace and charm in dealing with life's various challenges. Sincere sympathy to the family.

I read "A Ticket to the Circus" a month ago. What a great book! I'm so--- sorry about the loss of your "Mom". She must have been a wonderful woman!And what a beauty!!!!!

She couldn't have been more than 26 when I first met her. I was 16, a sophomore in High School and she was my Art teacher. Not only was she my teacher, she was my friend. Beautiful, vivacious, caring and kind. That is how I knew her and how I will remember her. Goodbye Barbara Norris...you were loved and shall be missed. May your family find peace and comfort as they grieve the loss of their loved one.

Very sad to lose a loved one but it`s only for a short time , rest in peace while you wait for your loved ones , then eternity with resume when all have gathered .

The Bible speaks of the ressurrection when the earth will be a paradise, will be interesting to see how she can relay that within her talent for words (Ps.37:10,11,29)

Condolences to Norris's family and friends, she will be missed. Norris was a lovely lady with a big heart deep inside. I met her only once, but felt so much respect for her as we talked. I admired her thoughts and her advice. Her passing saddens me. I know she is with the Lord and now she can see what Norman is doing on the other side. My prayers are with her Son Matthew and the rest of her friends and family. May the Lord watch over all of you.

To the the family of Norris Mailer - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that Miss Norris will be missed by many.
