Novis Genoa Gay Bradshaw, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Bradenton, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Officiating the service will be Dr. Murry Hodge.
Novis was born on April 30, 1929 in Hall Summit, Louisiana to Clifford and Estelle Gay and passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Bradenton, Florida.
She married the love of her life, Bill Bradshaw, in 1945 and that union produced three sons, Gary, Terry, and Craig. She lived a life devoted to her family. She was a wonderful mother and poured her heart and soul into being a great cook. She also enjoyed the game of tennis and was an avid player. Novis was a faithful member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed many trips and great times with her friends there. Her greatest joy was spending time with her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Novis is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Estelle Gay; her beloved spouse of 69 years, Bill Bradshaw; and her brothers, Reggie Gay, Carl Gay, and Cedric Gay. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Bradshaw, Terry Bradshaw, and Craig Brashaw; brother, Bobby Gay; and sister, Gloria Beard.
Honoring Novis as pallbearers will be Chris Bradshaw, Jeff Bradshaw, and Warren Gay. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Gay, Kenneth Gay, Paxton Moseley, and Stanley Moseley.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Summer Grove Baptist Church, 8924 Jewella Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118.
Novis will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. We will always cherish the wonderful memories and precious time we spent together.

To-Gary, Terry, and Craig. Sorry for the loss of your mother. She was like a 2nd mother to me growing up on Shady Lane Drive. Remember her always having a delicious Pound Cake and Pot of Coffee on every time you walked into her home. She was a beautiful example of a Proverbs 31 woman. Sympathy from Kim Hawkins Shackelford

To Gary, Terry & Craig,
I have loved your mother since I was very small a Calvary when we all went there. Through out the years we went to the same church´s and I stayed in touch with both her and your dad. The last time I saw them was at my mothers 92th. birthday. I had kept in touch through others. She was a person that always had a smile on her face and love for you. I often tell others of her. God bless you all and your families.

A lot of old great memories. Back in the 60´s . You were a true southern LADY. You could make me laugh. Even though the last time we saw each other was in 1980 I still remember our visit. Prayers for all the family. R. I. P.
