Nylphia Adelaine McKenley, affectionately known as Addy or Nyl, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Born on July 8, 1968, in Kingston, Jamaica, she lived a life defined by kindness, optimism, and unwavering faith. To know Nylphia was to experience warmth and grace; she carried herself with a gentle strength and a joyful spirit that reflected the light of Christ in all she did.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Rayovan “Roy” McKenley, and her loving parents, Doreen and Ferdinald Clarke. Nylphia was a cherished daughter, stepdaughter, and daughter-in-law; a proud and loving mother to Adreane Hill and Nelson Foster; and a doting grandmother to her precious Adelaine Hill. Her love for family was steadfast and generous, and she poured herself fully into every role she held.

Nylphia was a loving sister and is remembered by her siblings: Marcia Clarke-Connolly, Andrew Clarke, Kerdane Clarke, Vigla Clarke-Allison, Alrine Fong-Woo, Katasha Jarvis, and Valaine Clarke. She also held close to her heart her nieces—Quanisha Bright, Vanessa Clarke, and Erica Clarke—and her nephews—Julien Clarke, Kerdane Clarke, Adrian Bright, Joshua Connolly, Nathan Allison, and Kyron Clarke. Through her husband Roy, she embraced an extended family in Jamaica as her own, loving them wholeheartedly from the moment she met them. Nylphia leaves aunts, uncles and numerous cousins to mourn her passing.

Nylphia loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and that love was returned to her in abundance. Her dear friend Charmaine stood faithfully by her side through life’s joys and challenges, remaining a constant presence to the very end. Friends such as Donna, Audrey, and Maria were blessed by her encouragement, compassion, and steady support. She nurtured her relationships with sincerity and care, leaving a lasting imprint on many hearts.

Her passion for people and problem-solving shaped a fulfilling professional journey. She began her career at Jammin’s Travel in Brooklyn, New York, expanded her experience at the Sheraton, Florida and later served as Hotel Manager at Coyaba in Jamaica. She eventually brought her talents and dedication to American Express. She leaves work friends, colleagues and customers over her many working years who mourn her passing. In every role, she exemplified excellence, integrity, and heartfelt service. Yet beyond her professional accomplishments, it was her character—her thoughtfulness, generosity, and steadfast faith—that truly defined her.

Nylphia was also a treasured member of the Victory Prayer Line, where she faithfully directed Tuesday Scripture Sharing Nights, a ministry she deeply loved. Her life was a testament to bold and enduring faith. As written in 2 Timothy 4:7–8, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Those words reflect the life she lived—committed, faithful, and hopeful in Christ.

As we honor and celebrate her life, we hold tightly to the memories she created and the lessons she modeled through gentleness, resilience, and love. Though she has gone to be with the Lord, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
