O’Shae Rice passed away on October 19, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
O’Shae was born to Byron Terrell Rice Sr. and Leona Marie Hurd in Kansas City, Missouri on June 8, 2005, where he was also raised. He graduated from Center High School in May of 2023.
He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized on April 29, 2012, at United Believers Church, under the pastorship of Edward Daniels.
After graduating high school, O’Shae worked for a year at Amazon and later at Sysco Warehouse as a picker, until the time of his passing.
O’Shae was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Daisy B. Rice, grandpa Vincent Morgan, his uncle Keith Rice, and his stepfather Johnny Hurd.
O’Shae is survived by his parents, Byron Rice Sr. and Leona Hurd, his daughter Kylani Rice, three brothers: Byron Rice Jr., Deon’Ta Rice, D’Angelo Rice, three sisters: Diamond Rice, Janiece Williams, and Destiny Rice, Grandmothers: Dorene Morgan and Charlene Davis, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
