O.G. HILL

O.G. HILL, a beloved pastor, dedicated servant of the community, and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world on October 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy punctuated by laughter, love, and unwavering faith. Born on February 7, 1937, O.G. lived a life richly infused with purpose, humor, and compassion, touching countless lives during his remarkable journey.

As the devoted Pastor of First Pilgrim Valley Church, O.G. was more than just a leader; he was a beacon of hope and guidance for many. His sermons radiated warmth, wisdom, and an unwavering truth pleasing God over man. Pastor Hill preached righteousness above all. He also shared his profound spiritual insights through his written work, "The Unaltered Works of God," a testament to his dedication and passion for his calling.  O.G. served  as Chairman of zone 2 in the Galilee Griggs Memorial District Association for over a decade.  Additionally, Pastor Hill had a radio program on Heaven 97 for over 5 years.   

In addition to his pastoral duties, O.G. made significant strides in the aerospace industry, serving at Lockheed Martin for over 40 years. His work was characterized by an enduring commitment to excellence and innovation, which mirrored his approach to life. At the intersection of his professional accomplishments and his spiritual leadership, he carved out a unique path that inspired those who walked alongside him.

Beyond the church and workplace, O.G. reveled in the joys of life, often found perfecting his swing on the golf course or rolling strikes at the bowling alley. These simpler pleasures were brightened by his captivating wit; his laughter resonated through the air like a joyful melody, bringing warmth to everyone fortunate enough to share a moment with him.
