I had the pleasure of coaching Junior in basketball this year and getting to know him for a few months. He was a really special kid with such a big personality! Confident, determined, and a "little" stubborn. I could tell he wanted to be good at everything he did. We are deeply saddened by this loss and are praying for his friends and family as they t4y to patch the hole that could only be filled by Junior.

In a basketball scrimmage a couple months ago, I called him for a triple dribble 5 step walk. It was so bad, it was funny. We both laughed about it. That's the last time I saw him. It's a good memory.

Junior always made me smile or laugh! When I taught him in 3rd grade, he made our class so much fun! I nicknamed him "The Bodyguard " because he liked to show how strong he was. He would jokingly carry a student back to their chair when it was time to sit down. We would laugh! And oftentimes, he challenged me to an arm-wrestling duel. He nearly won! When I moved up to 5th grade, I wanted to have Junior in my class again so badly! He is such a gem!
My heart breaks for mom, dad, Lesley, and Kimberley. I am praying for all of you. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with all of us. He touched the hearts of so many people and he will always hold a very special place in my heart. My deepest sympathy and condolences.
