Odis Ray Holsenbeck

Odis Ray Holsenbeck age 82, of Brownwood, passed away on January 12, 2024, peacefully at his home.
Odis was born on March 4, 1941, in Clarendon to Taylor Holsenbeck and Opal Holsenbeck-Hollingsworth. Odis married Frances Salyer in Brownwood on March 2, 1990. He retired from the Highway department after working for numerous years. He enjoyed numerous things, but his greatest joy was his kids, grandkids and great grands. Odis loved building things, racing, bikes, lawnmowers and drag racing in many places around the area up until just recently. He was always working on his next big project with his best friend Silvester "Sil" Jones.
Odis is survived by his wife Frances Holsenbeck; his children, Charly Holsenbeck, Darlene Trebble, Shauna Mendez, Paul Robinson, Phillip Robinson and wife Amanda Robinson; grandchildren, Joshua Mendez and wife Jamie, Ammie Mendez, Jacob Mendez, Ariel Mendez, Cierra, Wyatt, Harley and Hannah Childs, Marina Jackie Holsenbeck; and one on the way; numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Taylor and Opal Holsenbeck; sisters, Fayren Hendricks, Marcina Crunk, Vela Mae Becker, Bertha Tyson; brother, Sunny Guynes; brother-in-law, James Crunk; nephew, Arland Hollingsworth and niece, Reesa; great-granddaughter, Alazaya Marie Mendez.
