He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Mary Baynes Johnson; brothers, Theodore and Genieve Johnson, Albert and Gussie Johnson, Glen Johnson; sister, Wilene and Bill Thomason; niece, Vickie Johnson Dean.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Effie Stanley Johnson; daughter, Karen and Michael Wyatt, and Lisa Johnson; granddaughter, Heather Wyatt; sister in law, Betty Jean Johnson; special friends, James "Jimmy" Blackwell, Lamar and Ida Nell Jenkins, Dale and Shirley Puryear; several nieces and nephews also survive.
At his request, there is to be no service.
Arrangements are made with integrity by Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, Crematory, and Monuments
