Ofelia Achkar Obituary
Age 90 of Presto PA, formerly of Youngstown OH, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Jeres T. Achkar. Loving mother of Dr. Antonio Achkar. Loving mother in law of Dr. Venus Hadeed. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Achkar. Loving Daughter of the late Angel and Celia (Rubido) Ibanez. Beloved sister of the late Elba Ibanez. Also survived by a loving extended family including Nieces, Great Nieces and Great Nephew. Ofelia was a supporting pillar along with her late husband Jeres, at Achkar Jewelers in Youngstown OH.
Family and friends welcome Friday 6-8 pm. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., PA 15220. Funeral service 10:00 am Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Church, 1000 Tropical Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Melrose Cemetery followed by a Mercy Meal at 1:00 pm.
