I was thinking about my Tia Fela today. Whenever I saw her, I saw a woman that was very intelligent. Her ability to take care of her family was very touching to the heart. As her daughter Julie teaches at the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). Now to be accepted to instruct students at UTRGV, Julie displays the acumen of my Tia Fela. My Tia's heart was bigger as her ability to take family into her home and cook is just amazing, I really do miss her homemade tortillas. But, what I consider her greatest asset were her hands. My Tia's hand display hard work, but yet warmth to hold a baby with a gentle tough. I miss my Tia Fela very much, as she will always be in my heart.
