Delores Mae Tuma (nee Barber) found peace February 15, 2024, at the age of 90. Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Tuma. Delores is survived by her children, Robert, Mark (Jane), Kevin, Todd (Mary Beth), Cindy (Bruce), grandchildren, Katy, Robert, Jr., Jason (Amanda), Kelly, Shawn, Kristopher (Jessica), William (Erin), Bethany, Gabrielle, Alaina, Shelby; great grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Dev Moon, Lacy, Oden, Clarice, Jason, Jr., James, Joshua, Logan, Maisyn, Kolten, Tobias, Miles; great great grandchildren, Carter, Jason III and Julian; her siblings, Robert (Sandy) Barber and Jacki Scharp (Barber) and several nieces and nephews.
Delores was born in Junction City, WI to Jelmer and Mae Barber. She grew up in Lugarville, WI and graduated from Phillips High School. She loved to tell stories about her childhood. After Delores married John, the two of them traveled the country for the 25 years that John served in the military. They settled in Cudahy after John's retirement from the army. Delores was a homemaker, devoted to her family. She worked as a lunchroom supervisor and tutor at Parkview Elementary School in Cudahy for over 40 years. Delores made friends easily and maintained contact with them until the end.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 3774 E. Underwood Ave. Cudahy, from 11:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00PM.
