Curtis Eugene Jackson, 67 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home. Born September 9, 1956, he was the son of the David Ritter and Lydia May Rife Jackson.
Curtis was a Christian and loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. His grandchildren was the light of his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents Ritter and May Jackson, he is preceded in death by his wife Cathy Jackson; sisters Beulah Layne, Betty Skeens, Mabel Worley; brothers Carl Jackson, Billy Jackson, Johnny David "J.D." Jackson, and Roger Jackson.
Survivors include his daughter Kristen Cook and husband Jason of Grundy, VA; son Jeremy Jackson of Vansant, VA; sisters Gladys Daugherty and husband Roger of Grundy, VA, Carol Potter and husband Roger of Grundy, VA, Laura Phillips of Grundy, VA; brothers Ralph Jackson and wife Pat of Grundy, VA, David Jackson and wife Angie of Abingdon, VA.
He is also survived by his grandsons Ethan and Peyton Cook and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, VA with Pastor Dale Blankenship officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m.
