Olga Garcia, a shining light of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in Lake Forest, IL, at the age of 81. Born on August 31, 1944, in Big Wells, TX, Olga's life was a tapestry woven with devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.
From a young age, Olga's gentle nature and artistic talents were evident. She channeled her passion into becoming a very talented seamstress and loved creating floral arrangements and party favors, a skill that brought beauty into the lives of those around her. Her creations were not just garments but expressions of her loving spirit and creative flair.
Olga's love for her church was profound. She found joy in fellowship and serving her community, often volunteering for church events and contributing to various community activities. Her faith was a constant source of strength and comfort throughout her life, and she instilled these values in her family.
Family was the cornerstone of Olga's life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and care. She is survived by her children, Anita (Robert) Langley, Annette Hunt, and William (Tracey) Hunt. Olga's role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren, Jennifer (Angel) Rodriguez, Stephanie (Tomas) Langley-Valadez, Christopher Reyna, Nicolas Hunt, and Daniel Hunt. She was also blessed to see the world through the eyes of her great-grandchildren, Odin and Iris Rodriguez. Olga's siblings, who shared in the journey of her life, will hold her memory close to their hearts.
Those who knew Olga will remember her as the embodiment of love and gentleness. Her creative soul shone brightly, and her kindness touched the lives of many. Olga's presence was a comforting and inspiring force, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we tearfully say goodbye to Olga, we will honor the remarkable woman she was. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as the beautiful pieces she created will remain treasured keepsakes. Olga's life was a testament to the power of love, the beauty of faith, and the joy of giving.
We honor the memory of Olga Garcia, a woman whose life was a masterpiece of love and artistry. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of love, strength and creativity will endure, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived. Olga's story does not end with her passing but continues in the lives of those she touched, for she sewed seeds of kindness and beauty that will bloom for generations to come.
Visitation will be held at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 4-7pm. Funeral service will follow at 7pm.
