Olga Wolf Obituary
Olga Wolf, beloved mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Born in Los Angeles to Mexican immigrant parents, Olga spent her childhood working in the family's soda fountain and pharmacy. She had one brother, Mario, who preceded her in death in 1966.
After earning her Associate of Arts degree, Olga joined the U.S. Foreign Service as a secretary, serving in Washington, D.C., and Madrid, Spain. She returned to Los Angeles to care for her father.
Following her father's passing in 1957, Olga remained in L.A., where she met Dr. Herman Wolf. They married and had two children-Annette Wolf Adamski of San Luis Obispo and William Wolf of Paragominas, Brazil-before divorcing in 1964.
With two young children and an ailing mother, Olga became the head of household and sole breadwinner. She raised her children in the Los Angeles family home, and after her mother's passing in 1969, worked part-time for the school district while attending university.
Olga earned her Bachelor's degree in Education and became an elementary school Bilingual Education teacher in Los Angeles, where she had a lasting impact on generations of students. She also taught illiterate adults to read. She never remarried.
After retiring, Olga relocated to California's Central Coast, where she spent her final years in peaceful surroundings, close to family.
She adored her grandchildren-Caroline Wolf of Los Angeles, Lukas Adamski of San Luis Obispo, and Sophia Adamski of Chicago-and her son-in-law, Mike Adamski of San Luis Obispo. They brought her joy, laughter, and love. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Socorro Wolf of Paragominas, Brazil.
Olga was known for her independence, her commitment to education, and her quirks-including being a terrible cook and an even scarier driver! She loved the color yellow, music from all parts of the world, and was known for her cheery attitude. In her younger years, she studied ballet en pointe, and later practiced yoga.
A life as rich and layered as hers cannot be captured in a single page-no words can fully hold the depth of her years, her impact, or her spirit. In accordance with her wishes, a private family gathering will be held where her ashes will be released into the ocean.
