John - I just learned of Olivann's passing. I am so sorry and give you my sincerest condolences. I arrived in South Carolina on the day of her passing and just learned about it in the Courier. And I will be still in SC at the time of her celebration of life, so I will miss that also. I wish I could be with you to share all the good memories I have of her, and especially of her interactions with my late husband Mike who also had great respect for her.

Dearest Olivann - your smiles, wisdoms, and artistic inspirations will accompany us forever. We met again this April, and spent quality and valuable time to discuss your and John's life in Alaska, ecological sciences in the Arctic, and your rich experiences interacting with Asian and other regions' students. The chat revealed what wonderful life you and John shared in Alaska and other parts of the world. Once again, we admired your musical and artistic talents in our chat about music. We have expressed our gratitudes for your mentorship to our son Run for his piano playing learning. We have so many fond memories interacting with you over the years. We will continuously treasure those memories and we are sure your kindness and friendship will continuously inspire us to live a rich and meaningful life like you. You are missed forever.
