Olive B. Adkins

OLIVE B. ADKINS, 85, of Springfield passed away Wednesday evening, August 12, 2009 in the Oakwood Village. She was born May 19, 1924 in Highland County, the daughter of Roy W. and Cora R. (Massie) Inlow. Olive retired from the Big Bear grocery store and was a longtime member of the Donnels Creek Church of the Brethren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her sister, Freda Smith of New Carlisle, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewis (Louise) Inlow of Springfield and Ralph (Audrey) Inlow of Springfield; two granddaughters and spouses, Jill (Mark) Sanders of Springfield, Ohio; Jami (James) Kyler of Canton, Ohio; one great grandchild, Sloan Kyler and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Edward L. Adkins in 1979 and two sisters, Alice Andrews and Ruth Perry. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Donnels Creek Church of the Brethren, 6562 Detrick-Jordan Pike, Springfield with Pastor Tad Hobert officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
