Mrs. Olive M. (Lessard) Caron, 94, of Berlin, passed away Sunday October 27, 2024 at her home. She was born in Berlin on December 23, 1929 the daughter of Wilfrid and Bertha (Bisson) Lessard and was a lifelong resident. She attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in the Class of 1948. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and had served as a lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Before retiring, Olive was the co-owner of Choo Choo’s Restaurant and worked as a waitress there. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Living Rosary, “Les Enfants de Marie”, the M. R. A. and the Seven Sisters Apostolate. Her great enjoyments in life included serving God by being very involved with the activities in the church, enjoying her family, was always trying to help others and put others first.
Family includes her children Marcel L. Caron and wife Anna of Derby, VT, Jeannette L. Coulombe and husband Adrien of Frankfort, ME, Claire Blanchette and husband Raymond of Berlin, NH and Pauline T. Aube and husband Marc Springfield, VT; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lionel A. “Choo Choo” Caron, her grandson Michael Blanchette and her siblings Jeannette Lemire, Robert Lessard, Aime Lessard, Normand Lessard, Edward Lessard, Gerard Lessard, Lucille Aikens and Pauline Lemire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, prior to the Mass.
