Olive W. Holmes

Olive was a member of P.E.O. for over 70 years. Initiated in Michigan she eventually transferred to our chapter K in Massachusetts in 2006. I enjoyed hearing about her family history and her relationship to Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. She was an architect and talented artist. She was a beloved sister in our organization and it was a pleasure knowing her.

Olive was my next door neighbor on Farwell Place for many years. Although I moved away a number of years ago, I remember sipping glasses of wine as we shared family stories, and she told me about her her career as an arcitect, and about her childhood summer visits to visit her aunt in Connecticut, on the Housatonic River. Here´s to you, Olive!
