Olive Kay Sieting
Olive Kay Sieting, of Fife Lake, Michigan, went home to heaven suddenly on January 8th, 2025. Born on 21 August 1936 in Kalkaska, MI, Olive Kay was the daughter of Claude J. and Beulah Mae Hall. Olive Kay Hall and Leo Sieting were united in marriage on July 4th, 1959, in Kalkaska Michigan. Upon graduation from high school in 1954, Olive Kay attended college and worked as a switchboard operator. Olive Kay received her degree in nursing in 1972. Olive Kay worked in various health care facilities throughout the state of Michigan culminating her career at the age of 72. Olive Kay was a lifelong pianist beginning to play at the age of 4 and continued to play her entire life. Olive Kay was very active in various churches through the state of Michigan supporting church programs and as a pianist. Olive also was the pianist for the Apple Knockers band of Kalkaska, MI playing socially and for the Commission on Aging. Olive Kay participated and led a Bible Study Group in Fife Lake, Michigan.
Olive Kay loved playing musical instruments, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were painting, wood burning, and gardening.
Olive Kay is survived by three children; Vicki Stand (Brian) of Eagan, MN, Craig Sieting of Fife Lake, MI, and Liese Parish (Darryl) of Bad Axe, MI. Olive Kay was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Olive Kay was preceded in death by her husband Leo, her parents Claude and Beulah, and her brother Larry Hall.
Viewing will be held on 23 January 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Kalkaska Funeral Home, and services on the 24th of January at 12 p.m. at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church in Kalkaska Michigan, with visitation taking place at 11 a.m.
