Oliver Kenneth Goodwin

Oliver Kenneth Goodwin (Ken) of Tullahoma, TN passed from this life on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at home in Tullahoma, TN. He was born in Pekin, IL on September 2, 1940. He also lived in Ohio, New Jersey and Tennessee in his adult years. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Nellie (née Williams) Goodwin and two siblings, David and Laura.

Ken was very selfless, always putting others before himself. Family and friends jokingly called him the "Mayor" because he was always shaking hands and kissing babies. He never met a stranger - when he met someone, they quickly became a friend or like family. He was a people person and enjoyed doing things for others.

He loved his grand dogs and spending time with all his girls-his wife, daughters and granddaughters. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and we are all grateful for his service. He loved fishing, vacationing in Florida, going on cruises, and gambling. He really enjoyed dancing with his wife and doing the Twist. He was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Cubs.

Ken is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years (May 6th) Annette Mendel Goodwin of Tullahoma; daughters Tina (Robert) Jarman of Manchester and Teri Romano of Tullahoma; his sister, Mary Maspero of San Antonio, TX; and his brother-in-law, Kilian (Ann) Mendel of Wadsworth, OH. He is also survived by three grandchildren-Steve Jarman, Ashlyn Jarman, and Vanessa Jarman, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life to reflect on the joy, laughter, and love Ken shared with everyone he met. We invite family and friends of the family to join us. Friday, January 16, 2026 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at The Event Nook 1940 North Jackson St. Tullahoma, Tennessee

We hope this gathering will be a celebration filled with laughter, just as Ken lived his life. While we may shed a few tears for the amazing person he was, we do not want this to be a somber event. We kindly ask that you do not wear all black or traditional funeral attire.
