Oliver Clyde Hood

Oliver Clyde Hood, 85, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025. Oliver was employed at Monsanto for 37 years before retiring.
Oliver is a member of The Methodist church at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.
Oliver was also an avid member at Grand Lodge Free & Accepted Masons of Florida and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Oliver loved farming, Farmall cub tractors, and spending time with family and friends. He loved to "fix" things and always had a "witty" story.
Oliver is preceded in death by parents, Oliver Roy and Addie Bell Hood, spouse, Mary Helen Hood, brother, Donald Gordon Hood, daughter in law, Renee G Hood, brother in law, Curtis Porter.
Oliver is survived by siblings, Kennith Hood (Betty), Hiram G Hood (Lynne), sister in laws, Annete Porter, Sandy Hood, children, Wayne Hood (Lori), Lisa Scruggs (Jack), grandchildren, Ashely Creamer (Daulton), Blake Scruggs (Sommer), Aspen Taylor (Lane), Leslee Scruggs, great grandchildren, Jeremiah Alvarez, DJ Thompson, Levi Taylor, as well as soon to come, Mary Elizabeth and Layton Wayne Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home beginning at 5-7:00pm with services to follow Saturday morning, October 4, 2025 at 11:00am at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Vernon, Florida, located at 2430 Shakey Joe Road.
