One of three children, Oma Laudine (George) Brinker was born June 5, 1928, to Roy and Lorene (Enlo) George in Bartlesville, OK. Oma was married to Lionel Wayne Brinker in 1946 and they lived in Wann, Oklahoma, raising four children, Steve, Roger, Shirley, and Larry.
Oma farmed, ranched, drove a school bus, housekeeping, and bookkeeping. She was known best for her leatherwork and sewing. Her artistic leather work was the subject of a several articles. She loved to play games, especially Wahoo. She was honored in an interview by Oklahoma Horizon TV in 2012 and picked up by RSTV which ran nationwide. She was also a charter member of Wann Baptist Church and Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Steve of Wann, OK, Shirley Miller and Bubba of Mounds, OK, and Larry of Muskogee, OK, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, friends, and many of those who knew her as Ma Brinker, Ma, or Mom.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lorene, her husband Wayne, and her son, Roger.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00-8:00 pm. The family will be present from 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Wann Baptist Church on Tuesday the 23rd, at 2:00 pm.
