Omah Stallings Higgins was born on June 29, 1931, in Oak Grove, Louisiana and passed from this life on January 30, 2026 at Lagniappe Nursing Home.

Omah was a lifelong faithful member of the First Apostolic Church. Her favorite pass time was visiting and witnessing to the sick, the shut in, the bereaved and the downtrodden.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Higgins; her mother, Mattie Selena Stallings; her father, Herbert Stallings; her brothers, Leon Stallings and WH Stallings and her sister, Doris Capwell.

Omah is survived by her three daughters, Jackie Lynn Higgins, Shelia Ann Baggett and OJ Higgins; her granddaughter, Meridith Shrader Dempsey (Garrett); great grandsons, Grayson Dempsy and Bryson Dempsey; nephews, Jim Capwell (Beverly), Jody Higgins (Jessica), Phillip Charles Higgins, and Walter Polk and nieces, Terry Capwell (Rick), Vicki Gulley (Johnny Ray) Sandra Caruso, Missy and Laura Stallings, Brenda Ruckman, Debbie Severson and Mary Sue Calcote.

She will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service is to be scheduled at a later date.

We would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to Tambra Hodges, Fay Woodard, Vicki Gregory, Jennifer and Wimpy Fitch, Linda and Randy Parker, along with Bro. JT Wheat and her many church family and friends for their long-standing love and support.

My condolences to the family. She was so sweet and I cherish her playing the piano for me one day at her home. I met her at church and then we had lunch together. I know she was a true & faithful servant of the Lord. She was a good friend .rest in peace sweet lady .
