February 22, 1968 A Summary Of Ondra Life November 18, 2022
Ondra Lavon Thomas was born February 22, 1968, in Miami, Florida to her beloved parents the late Mrs. Carrie Lee Thomas and Eddie Lee Thomas.
The evening of November 18, 2022 "Our Beloved Mother" gained her wings. Ondra as she was affectionately called resided most of her life in Miami Florida, Coconut Grove, South Miami(Red Road), and Perrine were just a few places that she called Home.
Ondra received her diploma from South Miami Senior High School. She enjoyed sports as she participated in high school cheerleading. In 1982 she was blessed with her first child out of five. Her very first job was burger king in south Miami, Florida. Ondra had many things that she loved to do but what she enjoyed the most were shopping, listening to music, styling her hair and enjoyed her family and friends. Going on outings was something that her and her mother did on a regular, she loved riding! Ondra was a firm believer and always trusted God no matter what the situation was. She was a member of Coconut Grove Church of Christ.
She might have been small, but she was strong as a giant. Over the course of the years, she fought through tough battles and overcome many. To know "Our Mother" was to love her. She was an awesome mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and an outstanding grandmother to her grandchildren.
Ondra had such a beautiful and calm spirit about herself. Always humble, smiling and all around just a happy person. She was affectionally loved by everyone she came in contact with or whoever came in contact with her. "Our Mother" was such a beautiful person inside and out! Ondra and her five gifts from God relocated to Williston, Florida in 1997 settling for life in the county. Upon relocating she gained employment at Kmart to support her children. Years later she became a homemaker, enjoying life and her family. Her devoted niece Callena Jones "Mame" and daughter- in-law Shamille Jenkins/ Thomas played an important role in her life leading up to the failing of her health.
She leaves precious memories with her loving children, Luke Thomas, MarKeith Thomas, Shakeyla Thomas, Bradley Thomas, and Eddie Thomas(Shamille Thomas); Grandchildren, Markeith Thomas Jr., Lukiya Thomas, Kelvin Thomas, Ja`Laia Thomas, Eddie Thomas Jr., and Kayden Jenkins; Her siblings, James Hughes, Carol Jones, and Lucinda Thomas; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
