Opal Hagin Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Kell Smith and Delia Mae Smith; husband, Donald Lee Hagin; brothers, Dwight "Snuffy" Smith and Roy Sie Smith; sister, Faye Atkins.
Opal was a charter member of Valley Brook Church of God and recently enjoyed being part of the fellowship at Lifegate Church. Opal was the epitome of love. Her unwavering faith and compassion touched so many lives. She has been a beacon of hope, truth, and light for her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Lee and Kimber Hagin of Dalton, and Jeff and Misty Hagin of Ooltewah; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Louis Long of Chatsworth, Melisa and Mark Gamlen of Dalton; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Carolyn Hagin of Dalton, and Carol Smith of Cohutta; grandchildren, Tiffany Penn, Brittany Carlock, Ashley (Chastain) Moody, Michael (Charlee) Callahan, Jeffery "Bubba" Hagin, Charity Opal Faith Gamlen, Katlyn (Codie) Kittiphanh, Avery Crockett, Amy Martinez, Jammie Howard, Logan (Kevin) Norris- Jones, Darcy Norris; several great grandchildren; several uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Burial will be at the United Memorial Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
