Opal Y. Rockenbaugh, 79, of Millersburg, died at her home on December 6, 2025.
She was born on May 31, 1946, in Goshen, to Noah and Maxine (Ott) Wenger.
Opal was a 1964 graduate of Concord High School. On July 30, 1966, she married the love of her life, Ivan E. Rockenbaugh, in Elkhart, and together they built a full and joyful life. He survives.
Also surviving is her son Keven (Tresia) Rockenbaugh, Millersburg; grandchildren Austin and Hailey Rockenbaugh, 3 step grandchildren, Mickayla Stump, William Wallace, and Kearston Wallace, 5 step-great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Wenger, Columbia City, and Susan Bucher, Alabama, and brothers Lowell (Diane) Wenger, Elkhart, and James Arthur (Linda) Wenger, of New Mexico.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Victoria Rockenbaugh, sisters Carol Madix and Joyce White, and brother, Ronald LeRoy Wenger.
A devoted homemaker and farmer’s wife, Opal poured her energies into caring for her family and home. Creative and talented, she enjoyed playing the keyboard, sewing, and crafting. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle presence touched everyone that knew her.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 14, from 1-3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and then from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at Ligonier Methodist Church, until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Rev. Jean Ness will officiate.
Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Loveway, ADEC, or to Brown Cemetery.
