It is with heartfelt love and remembrance that we announce the passing of Opal Geraldine Sachse, who entered eternal rest on August 19, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, at the age of 94.
Opal was born on September 5, 1930, in Odessa, Texas, to Arthur C. Marr and Opal Aline King Marr, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband.
A woman of intelligence, grace, and perseverance, Opal pursued higher education and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston State Teachers College. Her dedication to learning and to her work reflected her strong spirit and love for growth and knowledge.
She is survived by her son, Mark K. Sachse, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Sachse. Opal's greatest joy was her family, and she cherished her role as grandmother to Paige Sachse, Peyton Sachse, and Harrison Sachse. She also leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried forward by future generations.
Though she is no longer with us, Opal's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones, remembered for her strength, wisdom, and devotion to family.
She will be laid to rest at Sachse Cemetery in Sachse, Texas.
