Ora Kenneth "Ken" Baringer, 90, of Coal Center, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, with family by his side. Born May 28, 1935, in Alicia, he was a son of the late Joseph Howard and Leeta Childers Baringer. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Ann Redd Baringer, whom he married July 9, 1955; loving father of David Baringer, Kimberly (John) Anders, and Doreen (William) Bassett; cherished grandfather of April (Harry), Maureen (Missy), Joshua (Deanna), Lindsey (Mike), Kristen (Brian), Jason (Rachel), Justin and Megan; 10 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family, and was preceded in death by his wife and nine siblings. A retired carpenter foreman in the bridge industry, Ken was best known by everyone as someone who could fix just about anything - whether it was a broken chair, a leaky pipe, or a friend in need of encouragement. His hands were always busy, but his heart was always open. A proud charter member and deacon of Garwood Baptist Church, Ken not only helped build the church with his own hands but also helped build the faith community that thrived within its walls. His steady presence, humble service, and unwavering faith touched countless lives. Ken will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Ken's family extends its heartfelt gratitude to UPMC Washington's Critical Care Unit for the loving care of their father. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ken's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, in Garwood Baptist Church, 637 Scenic Drive, Daisytown, led by Kevin Carpenter. The service will be live- streamed at
facebook.com/GarwoodBaptist. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Washington City Mission or Garwood Baptist Church.
