Ora Schroeder Obituary
Ora was born on March 7, 1927 in Calumet City, the son of Ora Otto and Cinderella (Jones) Schroeder Sr. He married Mary Allen on September 20, 1946 in Milford and she survives.
Besides his wife, Mary Schroeder of Milford, he is survived by three children, Michael Wayne (Connie) Schroeder of Milford, Stephen Patrick (Cathy) Schroeder of Milford, and Sara Lee Janssen of Milford; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Nick, and Harold; and two sisters, Oraleen and Martha.
Ora and Mary were married for seventy-five years. Together they were part of a square dance club. After retiring from Uarco, Ora enjoyed woodworking, especially making signs. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Due to COVID, private family services will be held with burial at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland with graveside military rites by Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
