ORA STORY 03/28/1933 - 09/27/2025 Ora Frankia "Frankie" (Shaw) Story, longtime resident of Meeker, Okla., departed this life on September 27, 2025, at the age of 92. Frankia was born on March 28, 1933, in Shawnee, Okla., to Robert Shaw and Loata (Batte) Shaw. Frankia graduated from Meeker High School in 1950 and attended Oklahoma A&M. Frankia married Leeman Story Jr. in Shawnee on November 9, 1951. Frankia worked for many years at Tinker Air Force base and would later retire from the accounting department. Following her retirement, Frankia volunteered with several local historical societies, genealogical organizations, and the Meeker History Museum. Frankia was a member of His Church in Meeker. Frankia and Leeman raised two children, Pamela Denise (Story) King and Rodney Joseph Story. Frankia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Loata Shaw, her older brother Ronnelle Shaw, her twin brother Orin Franklin "Bud" Shaw, her husband Leeman Story Jr., her younger sister LaDonna Ruth (Shaw) Welborn, and her son Rodney Joseph Story. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Pamela Denise (Story) King, her daughter-in-law Karmen Rene (Ferris) Story, her grandson and his family, Trevour Lee Story with his wife Ksenia Alexeevna (Bouranova) Story and their two children James Lee Story and Evelyn Rose Story, her grandson and his family, Brick Joseph Story with his wife Amanda Lynn (Miller) Story and their two children Greyson William Hardridge and Paige Aileen Story, her granddaughter Ora Lillian Story, her granddaughter Kirstie Lee Hall and her children Klare Raylynn Hall and Torrie Ann Renee Preston, grandson Hunter Ray Ferris, and many other family and friends. Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral home in Chandler, Okla., Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Chandler at Parks Brother's Chapel on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11 a.m.
