Ora Elizabeth "Betty" Wooton, 96, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on December 14, 1929, daughter of the late Edward & Ethel Stone Everett. She married Sterle Wooton in 1946 and they were married for 67 years. She loved her needlework, sewing, and quilting. She passed on her love of books to all of her children. She was a member of Eubank Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Betty Settle, John Wooton, Gayle & (Terry) Vaught, Lou & (Art) Lucky, Polly & (Garnett) Atwood, Charlotte & (Tom) Brence, all of Eubank, Kentucky, Rachel & (Victor) Warren of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Sue & (Frank) Cannavo of Lexington, Kentucky; nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Janet; two sons, Charles and James; four brothers and one sister.
Services will be held by Mike Wooton.
