Orbbie K. Webber

Orbbie Keith Webber, II, passed away on January 10, 2024, after a brief illness and hospitalization. He was 72 years old.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Entombment will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Orbbie was an intelligent man who obtained a Master's degree in Aquatic Biology from SCSU with a 4.0 GPA. He enjoyed exercising his mind with daily crossword puzzles and with internet word games, but also liked to get outside and work in his yard. Every summer he was often seen in his garden and mowing his lawn. His gardens always contained tomatoes and too many beans, and he typically gave his surplus vegetables to others. His friends and neighbors remember him as a kind and caring man who helped them whenever he could.
Orbbie retired in 2017 after working 20 years with the US Postal Service. His favorite part of the job was delivering mail to and reconnecting with old family acquaintances and making new ones on his routes. Prior to the USPS, Orbbie worked with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. He made several close friends during his time there and was especially proud of the cases they handled for the State.
Before developing health issues some years ago, Orbbie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just spending time outdoors. He particularly liked visiting his parents' farm in Michigan. While there, he could usually be found spending time in the woods with his dad, either deer hunting in the fall or chopping wood in the summer.
Over the years, Orbbie was fortunate to have several true friends that stuck with him during difficult times. In the last few weeks of his life, thanks to the efforts of his some life-long friends, he once again came to know the peace of the Lord.
Orbbie is survived by his mother, Inez; brother, Harold (Atlanta, GA); and sister, Susan (Mesa, AZ). He is preceded in death by his father, Orbbie Keith, I; brother, Michael; and beloved dog Jake.
