Orene Henderson Obituary
Orene Henderson, 97, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 in Graham. Graveside funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Murray Cemetery in Young County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Orene was born February 24, 1928 in Mullin Mills, Texas. She married C.L. Henderson July 25, 1946 in Mills County, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2021. She was a longtime resident of Young County living on the P.K. Deats Ranch over 50 years. Orene loved sewing making clothes for herself and her children. She kept books for the P.K. Deats Ranch and was involved in 4-H clubs in Murray and Graham. She loved riding her antique tractor in parades.
Survivors include: sons, LeRoy Henderson and wife, Donna of Pittsburg, Gene Henderson and wife, Dortheia of Graham, and Troyce Henderson and wife, Lisa of Graham; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren; siblings, Doris Brooks of Goldthwaite and Joe Smith of Tuttle, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Ruby Smith and brothers, Orville Smith, Lester Smith, and Dwain Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
