The passing of Ormond C. Moore has called us together today. There is no death. An angel form walks o’er the earth with silent tread, and bears our loved ones away, and then we called them dead. But they are near us, though unseen. Their dear immortal spirits tread. For all the boundless universe is life; there is no death. The giver just takes His loved ones unto Himself, after they have wrought such beautiful patterns during their sojourn here.

In God’s timing, he knew that Ormond C. Moore would enter this world on April 29, 1941, to the son of George and Lorine Moore who preceded him in death. In his later years, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Ormond attended the Dallas Public Schools. While at Lincoln High School, he enjoyed the fellowship of his friends and classmates. He was known as a “Jack of all Trades, “mastering a variety of trades and became a skilled craftsman in carpentry plumbing, electrical, painting and so much more. Ormond’s ambitious spirit led him to show his talents in setting up a home restoration business known as “The Anointed Handy Men” along with a neighborhood car was and detail business. His incredible talent was well known around the Dallas County area.

A life well spent, Ormond leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Joan Etta Harrison of Dallas, TX, a brother, Carl F. Moore, Sr. who preceded him in death, three daughters, Toni Renee Grisco of Tulsa, OK, Charity Summers of Carrollton, TX, Kathy S. Poston who preceded him in death, five sons, Ormond Andre Tolbert of Houston, TX, Victor McCray of Garland, TX, Michael Tolbert of Houston, TX, Ronald “Butch” Gray of Dallas, TX, John Carroll, Sr. of Frisco, TX, Douglas Moore who preceded him in death, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Perhaps Ormond will be remembered best for his full and vibrant life and his loving and compassionated spirit to all those who crossed his path.

Ormond departed this life on June 20, 2024.
