Ellicott City, Maryland - Lieutenant Commander Orville Sidney O'Hern, USN (Ret.), 72, of Ellicott City, Maryland, died November 2, 2025, after a long illness. Born July 27, 1953, in Tacoma, Washington, he was a graduate of Bellarmine Preparatory School and Washington State University. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1974 and was commissioned as an officer in 1982. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joanne; daughters Katie (Ben) Hamilton and Megan (Rob) O'Hern-Crook; three grandchildren; brother Jim (Marge) O'Hern; and sister Rosie (Rich) Kallal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Rosemary O'Hern, and brothers Mike and John. Full obituary available online at HarryWitzkeFuneralHome.com
