He is survived by his beloved wife, San Juana Rubalcava of Bellville, his son, Oscar Avelar, and his daughter-in-law, Perla Avelar, also of Bellville. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Oscar, Oziel, and Alina, who brought him immense joy and pride. Additionally, he is survived by his Mother, Maria Lucia Urrutia, his father, Jose Oscar Avelar, and his brothers, Danilo Avelar, Hugo Cruz, and William Cruz, as well as his sister, Nancy Cruz, all residing in El Salvador.

Oscar dedicated a significant part of his career to Western International in Bellville, where his contributions were valued by colleagues. He was well-known for his commitment and integrity in his work, traits that reflected his character throughout his life.

Education was important to Oscar, and he graduated from high school, establishing a foundation for his journey ahead. Beyond his professional achievements, he held dear the simple pleasures in life, often spending time watching television and creating lasting memories with his grandchildren. Vivió una vida marcada por la resiliencia y el amor, recordado con cariño por su espíritu perseverante y la calidez que transmitía a quienes lo rodeaban.


Le sobreviven su amada esposa, San Juana Rubalcava, de Bellville; su hijo, Oscar Avelar; y su nuera, Perla Avelar, también de Bellville. Su legado continúa a través de sus queridos nietos, Oscar, Oziel y Alina, quienes le brindaron inmensa alegría y orgullo. El velatorio se llevará a cabo el 23 de Febrero de 2026, de 10:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m. en la Funeraria Schmidt - Bellville, ubicada en 12029 Hwy 36 S, PO Box 610, Bellville, TX 77418. A continuación, se realizará el funeral, de 11:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. en el mismo lugar. Después del servicio, será enterrado en el Cementerio Oak Knoll, y el entierro tendrá lugar a las 12:15 p. m.
