Oscar Franklin Campbell, Jr, age 58, of Calhoun, GA, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at a local healthcare facility.
Oscar was born in Chatsworth, GA, on May 30, 1966, son of the late Oscar Franklin Campbell, Sr and Wanda Davis Campbell. Oscar was a graduate of Calhoun High School and was self-employed as the owner and operator of Campbell’s Guttering. He valued spending time with his family and was known for his engaging conversations over the phone. A devoted follower of the Lord, he actively participated in Calhoun Full GospelFellowship Church. Throughout his life, Mr. Campbell had a passion for basketball and softball, both as a player and a spectator. He cherished his family, with a particular fondness for his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Oscar was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Townsend and a brother, Anthony Campbell.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Gina Shugart Campbell; daughter, Megan (Jordan) Salmon; son, Drew (Hallie) Campbell; grandchildren, Knox and Mia Salmon; sisters, Judy Trotter and Mary Lois Edgemond; brothers, Dan (Sandy) Campbell and Charles (Ruth) Campbell; several brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and others also survive.
In keeping with his wishes, Oscar will be cremated and a memorial service to honor his life will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calhoun Full Gospel FellowshipChurch. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2:00 PM until the service begins.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donation be made to the Haven Health Women’s Clinic in Mr. Oscar’s honor.
